Prerequisites

Before You Start

You only need two things:

A Windows PC

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit required)

🌐

A Web Browser

Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (already on your PC!)

No programming knowledge required — just click and run!

Installation

Step-by-Step Installation

Follow these steps in order to get Rigbook running.

Go to the Releases Page

Open your web browser and type this address into the address bar, then press Enter:

Click the file rigbook-windows-amd64.exe to download it.

💡 Tip: Your browser may ask where to save the file. Choose your Downloads folder.

Run the Program

Open your Downloads folder — press Win + E and click Downloads on the left.
Find rigbook-windows-amd64.exe (or the amd64 version you downloaded).
Double-click the file to run it.

Windows SmartScreen Warning — Don't Panic!
Windows may say "Windows protected your PC." This is normal for unsigned apps.
Click "More info" → then click "Run anyway" to continue.

Rigbook Opens in Your Browser!

Rigbook automatically opens your browser when it starts and connects to:

http://localhost:8073

If the browser doesn't open automatically, type that address into your browser manually.

Configuration

First-Time Setup

Do this once after Rigbook first opens:

1Click the ☰ hamburger menu (top right) and go to Settings
2Enter your callsign (e.g. KD0ABC)
3Enter your grid square (e.g. DN40 — find yours at qrz.com)
4Click Save

🔧 Optional: If you use flrig for radio control, set the Host and Port in Settings (default: localhost:12345)

🎉 You're All Set! — Quick Recap

✅Went to github.com/EnigmaCurry/rigbook/releases/latest

✅Downloaded rigbook-windows-amd64.exe

✅Double-clicked and ran the program (clicked "Run anyway" if prompted)

✅Opened http://localhost:8073 in your browser

✅Entered your callsign and grid square in Settings

Now log your first QSO — click + in the top right of Rigbook!
