I was introduced to FT8 just a day ago. After configuring my IC-7300 and WSJT-X software on my Linux PC, I racked up an impressive collection of contacts. The ability of my weak signal and simple antenna to effectively communicate throughout the hemisphere is truly exciting.
These are the contacts I made in 24 hours. All contacts were made with 30 to 40 watts. I used the 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands to make these contacts
