CW eBooks

Created Sunday 19 January 2025

Learning Morse Code is difficult. And it is best learned through immersion. It is language, and we are built for language processing. One learning tool is listening to Morse Code eBooks.

I've created two CW eBooks:
Winnie the Pooh, by A.A.Milne
A Child's Garden of Verses, by Robert Louis Stevenson

Each book listed above contains the complete work1 in CW at multiple sending speeds.

A learning approach2 :

- Listen to a section without any expectation of comprehension. Just let it play. You will recognize characters and some words. Just let it flow.
- Listen to the section again.
- Listen again.
- Read the text of the section.
- Listen again
- Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Additional CW eBooks

Many additional CW eBooks are shared on K8YD's Morse Code Page
Another nice collection of CW ebooks is at SKCC Learning Center

1 The text of each book comes from Project Gutenberg, where you will find more than 75,000 free books in the public domain.
2 This learning approach was suggested by Roland Williams, AE6VL in an LICW session.
